Brice’s First Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was at our house this year. Uncle Brett’s came for his annual visit and to meet Brice. So we had G&P and Brett over for the feast. Brett said it was a very different visit now that Brice is here. Maybe because Brice rules the house!

We did get to go see Tran Siberian Orchestras (TSO) Christmas show. We dropped off Brice at G&P’s house and went to dinner then the concert. It was a very good way to kick off the holiday season.

Puking Stunt (November)

Megan and I planned a fun trip with the boys to Flagstaff, all was going well until 20 mins before the first rest stop. Brice started whaling. I figured he was hungry so I fed him when we go there, then the puking started. So after slight panic and a patient Megan, we packed up and went back home.

Fast forward an it happened 5 times after that in a couple months. It finally dawned on me the only link was I had run out of formula and had soy formula that I had for back up and I gave it to him. We haven’t had a problem since, so hopefully that is all the puke for now!

Uncle Russ, Aunt Lauren and Aiden Visit – November 16-21

We were so excited to have Russ, Lauren and Aiden in town. I hadn’t seen Aiden since April and boy a lot had changed. He was crawling everywhere and walking around while holding someones hands! Brice got to meet his Auntie and Uncle and had a playmate for the week. It was nice not having a schedule because you never know what will happen with kids and at what time they will happen.

The best day was when we all went to the zoo and the babies did extremely well, they loved being outside and it was a beautiful day topped off with delicious kettle corn. We also had a photo shoot. We packed up and met the photographer in Phoenix. It was a fun shoot, getting some great cousin photos. The last night they were in town it was a beautiful night, the babies went to bed and we got to hang out outside and have desert and coffee, very relaxing!

Can’t wait to see them again!

Happy Anniversary - November 10, 2010

Darren and I celebrated our third anniversary! Love you Darren!

Smiling in the bath (October)

Yup you read it right, he actually smiled in the bath. This is a huge first seeing how our son hates car rides, baths and on occasion walks! Night after night I give Brice a bath and without fail he screams. So I turned the warm bath into a cool bath and I haven’t had a scream since. The other night he realized he can kick in the bath and water goes flying and that’s the moment it happened…he smiled!

Four Month Appointment – October 26, 2010

Well he started big and continues to stay big. We went to his four month appointment and he measured in at… drumroll please…

19 pounds – 9 month range

28 inches long – 10 month range

He also had to get four more shots in his thighs and one oral vaccine, as Darren said “he took it like a man”. The doctor said he looks good and healthy and that we can start rice cereal. Woo hoo.
